The Elderflower Season is Here With the Butler’s Pantry!

The Butler’s Pantry is hosting a fun Elderflower Hunt on Friday 28th June from 6pm at Blackrock Park. The evening will begin with a brief talk by Eoin Warner of The Butler’s Pantry on the Elder tree and the different culinary uses of Elderflower. This is followed by a walk around the park where everyone can gather elderflower (remember to have your scissors and basket at the ready!).

ITB Launch Plans for New Horticulture Facility on Campus Launches at Bloom!

ITB (Institute of Technology Blanchardstown) are delighted to be once again attending Ireland’s largest gardening, food and family event Bloom in the Phoenix Park for five days starting today. Not only will ITB have a stand located in the Floral Marquee BUT will also be launching their new plans for growth in their Horticulture Department. The plans include a new Horticulture Facility on a 0.67 hectare site on campus costing well in excess of 1 million euro and designed by Hamilton Architects. The construction will be carried out by Felix O’Hare and Co. Ltd.

Over 300 second level students from all over Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Offaly take science to the next level at SciFest@ITB

ITB will welcome over 300 secondary school students from 32 schools from Dublin, Meath and Kildare and Offaly today so they can showcase their impressive scientific discoveries and explorations at SciFest@ITB. Scifest@ITB, is part of a series of one-day science fairs that will take place this year at Institutes of Technology across Ireland. 135 science projects will be displayed at SciFest@ITB with the students delving into a range of investigations - the results of which are bound to raise a few eyebrows.
